During the marriage equality vote in Ireland, young people called up their grandparents and had a conversation!

They asked them to consider voting YES!

They explained why marriage equality was important to them, they spoke of love and how it was the kind of world they wanted to raise their families in... fair and kind!

They didn't argue the point. They left the call with love!

...and it worked!

Dear Grandparents of Australia 

The grandchildren in your family need you to stand up for them.
Beyond 2050, when you may longer be with us,
we will be your family on the ground, left to deal with
the consequences of a hotter world. 
Unless things change now. 
Unless you change it for us!


You have a chance to create a mighty family legacy on May 21
by voting for the candidate in your electorate who cares the most about and will act immediately on growing a climate safe future. 

 

We don’t want to tell you who to vote for. 
This isn’t about who you vote for …it’s about what you vote for. 
We are asking you to consider voting for what we would vote for
if we were old enough to vote…
a climate safe future for us and our future family members. 
This can’t be put off any longer because the window for
positive impact is right now. 

 

On May 21, please look for a candidate who has a policy and a climate target that will make a real difference. Any climate target under 40% will not change the future and will not make it safe for our family. 

 

We hear you say, you will do anything to protect us, anything to make sure we know we are loved and cared for! On May 21, while there is still time, will you do anything? Will you vote to safeguard our future?
